Wintrek
Description
Wintrek is a shareware Star Trek variant. It does not explicitly reference the TV show and it characters (except by using Romulans as enemies), but uses a space ship icon based on the Enterprise and typical technical terms.
The goal is to destroy all Romulan warships within the turn limit. This is done by jumping between galaxies (represented by a 7x7 grid), searching for warships and using the two weapon systems (torpedoes and phasers) to fight them. Other commands are using short range or long range sensors to find Romulans and managing the energy distribution between weapons and shields. Movement commands for ships and probes have to be entered with specific commands (e.g. ship movement needs heading, distance and warp factor) which have to be calculated with a in-game calculation tools. There are also tools to calculate time and energy consumption.
