Wizard War

For many years the mighty mages of the planet Xarg have been involved in a life and death struggle to decide the fate of the world. The world and the populace have been so ravaged by this war that the master mage Manuras of the Many Hues has put his foot down, and organised a final round of duels to decide who shall rule the planet. As the premier wizard of Xarg, the player has been selected to represent their faction in the final battle.

Designed for 2–9 players, two wizards enter combat at any time. At the beginning of combat the wizards' mana levels are displayed, and each player can choose a spell from four possible choices. The choice can be hidden or shown to their opponent. The game then goes to the duel display, where each player can launch their offensive or defensive spell. An animation of the attack is shown on the screen. A player with low mana can choose not to attack, and if both players choose defensive spells, the round is void. Spells require a varying amount of mana, and some spells can be steered on the screen to engage the opponent.
