woOOPuP!

woOOPuP! is a traditional Breakout variant: the player controls a paddle which is confined to horizontal movements on the lower part of the screen. The goal of each level is to destroy all blocks by bouncing a ball towards them. If the ball falls through the bottom of the screen, a live is lost. Destroyed blocks may leave one of two treats behind: static stars which give bonus points when the ball touches them and power-ups which fall straight down. The latter reward positive effects if collected with the paddle, e.g. a one-time safety net, the ball goes straight through blocks without bouncing or multiple simultaneous balls enter the scene.

It is also a good idea to hit big stars with the ball because then the player instantly enters a bonus room which a lot of small stars. If the player manages to collect all within a time limit, a significant amount of bonus point is rewarded. The game features many special effects, e.g. every destroyed block explodes and leaves behind temporary effects with the same colour as the ball.
