Woks!

Woks! is a 1-player fixed-screen arcade game for the BBC Micro and Electron.

Many years ago, the tyrant Emperor Who Dun Pang decided that his subjects were eating too many greasy foods. To stop the risk of heart disease, he removed all the woks he could find, and locked them away in a series of guarded rooms within his palace. The player has been elected to sneak into these rooms and return with the woks of the land.

The player moves left and right, but can only jump straight up. They can also climb up and down ladders. The player explores a total of nine rooms as they explore the Emperor's Palace. Guards move through the levels in a set pattern. On each level, the player must collect all the woks. Then, they must grab the key, and escape the open door to the next room. The player loses a life if they run out of time or are caught by a guard.
