Wonder House

One day you received a letter. "Hi, how are you? I am currently in England. There's an old mansion in the town I'm in now. The mansion has a very mysterious structure and there are even rumors that a witch appears every night. It has already been 300 years since I visited there. While I was searching for the diamond that was said to be in that mansion, I was killed by a witch..." And when you had finished reading the letter, you were already in front of the mansion!

Wonder House is a Japanese graphic text adventure in which you've to find a diamond that is hidden somewhere in the old mansion and then escape with it. Several items can be found around the house that can be picked up and used in order to proceed. There are also various hazards that will kill you if not careful enough.

There are no room descriptions and the text commands are in English. Commands are accepted as verb + space + noun + CR such as "search floor", "take key" or "open rack". The commands "n", "e", "s", and "w" allow you to change direction in that house. To move forward, use "forward". If you want to know what you have, enter "p". You can display the scenery with "look".

There is a difference between some versions: Simple commands are now set on the function keys.
