Wordle

Wordle is a word construction puzzle title based on the concept used in the American game show Lingo from the 1980s and presented as an online, daily word guessing game. Every day players can guess a word with five letters. There are only six tries to get it right. The player inputs the letters and then feedback is shown through colours. Green means the letter is part of the word and in the right position, yellow means the letter is part of the word, but not in the right position and grey means the letter is not part of the word at all. Grey letters are also shown on the virtual keyboard at the bottom of the screen, which helps to find words that contain letters that have not been tried yet. All entries need to be valid words at all times.

After completing the puzzle the performance and steps can be shared spoiler free on social media or through other forms of digital communication. Options include two themes (dark and light), a color blind mode and a hard mode. In the hard mode you need to abide by the hints you have uncovered (green / yellow / gray). Enabling it means you cannot enter a random word, you need to take the hints into account.
