XNaCAVE

XNaCAVE is a horizontally scrolling cave flyer. The space ship automatically flies forward and the player only controls thrust by pressing an analogue button: the ship goes down when letting it go and goes up when pushing it fully. Being steady requires to hold it in the middle. By using this thrust mechanic, the player needs to avoid crashing into the edges of the cave as well as obstacles in the way. Each hit ends the game and saves the high-score.

However, the player has one ace up the sleeve: by pressing another button, a shield activates which protects from hits. This drains resources from an energy bar, but it automatically refills over time. Occasionally there is an earthquake which shakes the cave and therefore makes it harder to avoid obstacles.
