X-Plane 8

Description
X-Plane 8 is a flight simulator using the blade element theory, which originated in the 19th century. Like the previous installments in the X-Plane series, the game is a realistic flight simulation, utilizing real-world navaids, airports, and planes. The game is bundled with tools to design and modify aircrafts, navaids, and scenery.
This version differs from its predecessor in the following areas:
- Higher frames per second.
- Higher resolution computer generated scenery based on Shuttle SRTM data.
- 3D cockpits with same detail and resolution as 2D cockpits.
- New Aircraft format allowing for more wings, flaps, bodies and gear.
- Version 8.40 for Mac is a Universal Binary and runs natively on Intel Macintoshes.
