Xeno Waster

Xeno Waster is a horizontally scrolling shoot'em up. The player controls a space ship and kills a lot of alien resistance - preferably before they manage to wreck the space ship with only one hostile contact. Each time a life is lost, the game is reset to the last checkpoint and the game is lost, when all lives are gone. The speciality is that the player can choose the weaponry. There are three choices to make: the main weapon (straight shot, missiles, flamethrower, etc.) and two special weapons (e.g. a bounce shot, shots straight up and down or a homing missile). Defeated enemy leave behind energy balls which fill up the power-up bar. When it is full, the player can activate one of the two special weapons (or alternative upgrade the main weapon or the ship speed). The main weapon can also be shot backwards and some weapons like the flamethrower can be used angled (controlled with the right stick).

In multiplayer, two players can choose to control alien ships and up to two players can fight on the same side.
