Yōkai Yashiki

The Famicom Disk System version of Yōkai Yashiki is a completely different game. While the original's basic premise of playing a boy looking for his sister in a ghost manor is retained and the flashlight mechanic is kept, everything else is different. All the stages are different, all the sprites are different, all the bosses other than the first one are different. Most notably, this version is no longer a Metroidvania since the ability to freely backtrack to previous stages has been removed, the stage progression is entirely linear.
