Yotsunoha

Yotsunoha is a Japanese adult romance/mystery visual novel which tells the story of Makoto Yuuki, a young man who finds himself returning to the site of his former high school on a journey to rediscover lost memories. Three years ago, Makoto had buried a time capsule on the grounds of Mochizuki Academy along with four of his female classmates and friends: Nono, Iori, Matsuri, and Arisa, who each swore that they would return in three years to retrieve it. Makoto is relieved to find that the others have kept their promise, but when they try to unearth the capsule, they instead find a note from their former teacher, Yamamoto, informing them that he has dug the capsule up and hidden it elsewhere in the school. Intrigued, the group decides to stay in the school overnight and follow Yamamoto's clues to find the capsule.

Rather than having choices in dialogue, Yotsunoha features a top-down map system where the player can choose which parts of the school to explore (and consequently which girl they want to spend time with). The game features voice acting for the four main female characters and contains scenes with explicit sexual content.
