You vs. Wild: Out Cold

You vs. Wild: Out Cold is a is an interactive movie created as a part of Netflix's "Netflix Interactive" initiative, in which players are presented with choices to decide what happens next in the story, and must click one of the options via their browser, Smart TV, mobile device, or game console within a limited amount of time to move the story along. Out Cold is specifically a movie spin-off of the Netflix Interactive show released two years earlier, You vs. Wild and its first movie, Animals on the Loose.

In the game, players follow survivalist television show host Bear Grylls who has been in a plane crash and has lost his memory, including of who he is. The player must help Grylls go from the site where his parachute landed him to the other side of some treacherous mountains in order to reach the plane pilot, Joe Raynor, and save Raynor from the plane's cockpit that is hanging over a cliff. Grylls also needs to avoid and help rescue Raynor from a dangerous wild animal roaming the forest.

The player makes various choices throughout the game to help Bear Grylls survive, including setting up shelter, food, or water, escaping a wolf, eating bugs, and choosing how to get to Joe.
