ZED

Zed is a first-person adventure game. An artist suffering from dementia gets a treatment designed to restore his memory; he will delve into the depths of his memory, and by finding fragments of important memories, rebuild his mind. Some memories may be pleasant, while others may bring back uncomfortable realizations about his life. The title of Zed refers to the in-universe comic book of the same name. He was one of the authors of it, and it features prominently in his life.

The game is divided into areas. In each area, the goal is to find the exit door. This usually requires finding all memory fragments before the door will open. In addition, there is usually a puzzle to solve blocking the door, a 3x3 set of tiles that need to be swapped to form a picture. The target picture is hidden somewhere in the level, but it is not necessary to find it to solve the puzzle.
