Zippy Push Kid
Description
Zippy Push Kid is a platformer in which the player takes control over Zippy, the walking magnet. The background story, which is only conveyed outside the game, is that Zippy has to stop evil experiments which were cut loose in a research lab.
Zippy only has two moves available: walking (left and right) and sending out a magnet power wave. The direction of the wave is controlled with a right analogue stick and basically has two possible outcomes. When shooting straight or up, the wave pushes back enemies or items; the latter is used for simple puzzles where Zippy has to move a block to the corresponding field in order to open up the way. If the wave is directed to the ground, it pushes Zippy directly in the opposite direction which enables him to cross gaps. Zippy has up to five health points (the exact amount can be set before starting the game) and one is deducted each time he runs into a hazardous obstacle or an enemy. Enemies can either be defeated by jumping on them or by pushing them into spikes. The five levels progress in a linear direction, but often have multiple paths. Each level has a time record and the player can try to beat it.
