Zotoka

Zotoka is a 1-player strategy game for the Dragon 32/64.

While out in their boat, the player falls asleep, and soon awakens to find themselves on an uncharted island. Setting out to make it their own, the player finds themselves running the island, now christened Zotoka. The island is not easy to run. Food is needed all the time on the developing island. If people get restless then soldiers are called in to invade the island. If they set up more than two enemy bases, then the player is deposed. The island is also ripe for hurricanes, which can ruin all the player's work. The goal is the rule the island for 5 to 20 years. There are multiple skill levels, and the people must be provided with housing. There are numerous improvements for the island, including: hospitals, factories, fishing, housing, defensive bases, which are placed on a 10 x 10 grid. The player must also maintain a standing army to defend against invaders that can destroy the nation.
