5TH Cell Media LLC was founded in 2003 by industry veterans Joseph M Tringali, Jeremiah Slaczka and Brett Caird. The company is an authorized developer for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. Before that, the company created both original and licensed games for mobile platforms, as well as casual PC games.

The company's studio is currently located in Bellevue, Washington.
