Avantgarden S.r.l.

Avantgarden is a game development studio based in Milan, Italy. It was founded as Ovosonico by the two industry veterans Massimo Guarini and Gianni Ricciardi in 2012. Ovosonico was the first Italian company to develop a title exclusively for PlayStation. Their debut title Murasaki Baby was released for the PS Vita in 2014.

In September 2015 Digital Bros invested €1.44 million, acquiring all Ricciardi's shares and gaining a 49% stake in the company. Ricciardi then left the company and founded WANT Musik. The studio's second title Last Day of June was released in 2017.

Ovosonico was relocated to Milan in 2018 and Digital Bros bought the remainder in March 2020. Guarini then left the company, but retained the Ovosonico brand. The Ovosonico studio was then rebranded Avantgarden and is managed by Digital Bros' Abramo Galante. A third title Edengate: The Edge of Life was released in November 2022.
