Description

Coleco Industries was an American company originally founded as The Connecticut Leather Company in 1932. They expanded into the toy market in the 1950s. Coleco manufactured video game consoles from 1976, with Telstar being their first product. The ColecoVision was popular and the company also made cartridges for the Atari 2600 and Intellivision, and a clone of Atari's console which was called the Coleco Gemini.

In 1983 the Coleco Adam home computer was released but this was a failure and Coleco left the electronics field in 1985.
