CRL Group PLC

Description
CRL was founded by Clem Chambers who decided to set up a business after he failed to get into university. Starting out renting computer equipment out (hence their full name), CRL was one of the few companies producing games as early as 1982 who continued into the 90s. Many of their games were rather cerebral, with many simulation, strategy and management games in their range. Some of their adventure games were based on horror stories, including Dracula and Frankenstein. They also brought out a game based on Terrahawks which was one of the first video games to be based on a television series. They released around 90 Spectrum games and dozens for the C64, although they only briefly supported the Amiga and ST.
