Echtra Inc. is a game development studio incorporated on 15 January 2016 by Max Schaefer, who was previously involved with franchises like Torchlight and Diablo. The studio is based in San Francisco (USA). Other prominent members part of the company early on are David Glenn and Tyler Thompson.
The studio launched its first title Torchlight III in early access in June 2020, then fully in October of the same year.
In 2021, the company was acquired by Zynga.
