Description

Evolved Games was a smaller publisher that operated from 2003 until approximately 2011. They had a distribution focused office in London, UK as well as their headquarters in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, which focused on publishing. They focused exclusively on these efforts and did not do any internal game development.

They released a number of titles across 6th and 7th consoles, as well as the PC, often from smaller developers or occasionally, handling territorial publishing duties for games whose main publishers didn't plan to release those in those territories. These were in a number of genres ranging from action, adventure, racing, shoot em' up, military strategy and others.

Their two largest and perhaps most infamous releases were Terminator: Salvation, which released alongside the movie and having very little in common with it, and Raven Squad, an FPS/RTS hybrid. Both of these had larger budgets than Evolved's past releases, but were critical and commercial failures.

After the failure of Raven Squad, Evolved stopped publishing new titles and went dormant. Their web site is still online as of 2024 for some reason, but lists no new company activity and still has elements that require the deprecated Adobe Flash Player. Their PC releases have also been delisted from Steam and are no longer available to purchase.
