Frozenbyte Oy

Frozenbyte is an independent game developer based in Helsinki, Finland. It makes games on various platforms (PC, Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, Mac, iOS and Linux), while Windows PC remains primary. Founded in 2001, the company has grown to a professional team of almost 20 people.

Frozenbyte's first commercial game was the top-down action shooter Shadowgrounds (2005) for the PC, followed by the spin-off/sequel Shadowgrounds Survivor.

The studio's third game, Trine, was released in July 2009, followed by Trine 2 in 2011. Both are fantasy themed puzzle sidescrollers.
