MTO Co., Ltd.

MTO Co., Ltd. (エム・ティー・オー株式会社, Motorsports Software Technical Office) is a software development company based in Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa, Japan. The company was founded in May 1996 by Takehiro Moriyama who had previously worked as a producer at Bullet-Proof Software. During its time as a game developer, MTO specialized in racing games (from which it took its name) and games marketed toward young children.

Moriyama passed away in May 2014, after which the company appears to have laid off most of its staff and ended games development. Atsushi Masai succeeded Moriyama as president, and still holds that position as of 2024. The company's business today involves e-reader and digital book rental services.
