Option Tuning Car Battle

Description

Option Tuning Car Battle is a street racing game featuring a license from the popular Japanese car tuning magazine Option, supervised by Option editor-in-chief Daijiro Inada and racing driver Tarzan Yamada. The game is very similar to Tokyo Highway Battle, and was in fact developed by some of the same staff. There is a story mode with branching paths where the player must earn money to upgrade their car and defeat each opponent, as well as an arcade mode.

As the license would suggest, the game has a heavy emphasis on car modification and tuning; the game includes 11 real-life tuning shops and over 1200 parts. There are four different courses in total, including a recreation of the famous Tsukuba Circuit.
