Pace started out as Pace Micro Technology plc in 1982, doing both hardware and software. It made a range of games and peripherals for the BBC micro, and made a breakthrough in the previously strictly regulated UK modems market in 1985. Since 1987, its main business has been satellite and cable receivers, and is now a major electronics manufacturer on a global scale, though it hasn't been in the games business for a long time.
