Pax Softnica
Description
Pax Softnica (formerly Pax Softonica) was a Japanese developer that was developing games for Nintendo since 1986, their best known games such as Mother/Earthbound, Donkey Kong (Game Boy), Hamtaro licenses and Famicom Mukashibanashi series.
Originally founded by Yukio Tamura as Imagesoft, Imagesoft was acquired by Pax Electronica Japan and rebranded as Pax Softonica, prior to working with Nintendo from 1986 to 2002, the company was originally developer and publisher for Japanese home computers.
In 1990, Yukio Tamura, the founder of original Imagesoft, he was spun off from Pax Softnica, to developing games independently under Imagesoft brand.
They were no longer active since 2003, since there a new company called Softnica founded by Tomoshige Hashishita (the person who was the president of Pax Softnica at that time).
