About

The Assassins were a small company based in the north of England. They developed compilations of public domain software, typically games that had appeared on cover mounts of UK Amiga magazines, in the early 1990's. Originally these were then sold via mail order by the many suppliers of public domain software who advertised in those magazines but around 1992 they had their own distributor.
Their target machine was the A1200 but most of their games, at least the early ones, ran on an A500. They produced two hundred and fifty game compilations which can be found on free download sites and on Revive's Amiga Classics. They also supplied compilations of public domain utilities.
