300: Rise of an Empire

300: Rise of an Empire is a free promotional game for 300: Rise of an Empire, the sequel to the movie 300. You play as Greek general Themistokles who seeks to unite Greece by vanquishing the invading Persian navy forces led by its vengeful commander Artemisia. The gameplay is mostly hack-and-slash using attack and blocking moves. A rage bar fills up with each enemy killed and when full can be used to instantly perform a cinematic kill. Double-tapping the block will bash your enemy with your shield and stun them temporarily. Through four levels, there are variations such as having to block incoming arrows from Artemisia's archers, or having to use a bow and arrow yourself to dispatch suicide troops before they reach you. At the game's finale, you must defeat Artemisia herself.
