6502 Games
Description
6502 Games is a book containing the assembly source code of 10 programs (of which nine are games), written for the 6502 processor, for computers with 1KB of RAM. The programs are:
- Music Player (not a game)
- Translate - The computer displays a binary number and the player is scored on how quickly they can give the hexadecimal representation.
- Hex Guess - A number-guessing game in which the computer is thinking of a two-digit hexadecimal number.
- Magic Square - The player must light up the whole square, but each key inverts a set of tiles that make up the square.
- Spinner - A skill game in which the player must catch a light by pressing the right key. After each success the speed is increased.
- Slot Machine - The random game of chance in which three reels spin and reward money based on which images they show when they stop.
- Echo - A Simon Says variant with sound and lights.
- Mindbender - A card game played against the computer with a limited deck of 10 cards.
- Blackjack - Despite its name, not a card game, but a Mastermind variant.
- Tic-Tac-Toe - Classic game of three-in-a-row.
