Acheron's Rage

Acheron's Rage is a shoot'em up game for Oric computers and a variant of the arcade game Omega Race. The player's spaceship finds itself trapped in a force field and must destroy the warships of Gor.

The playing field consists of a force field block in the center and a field around the edges. Flying into the force field reverses the ship's course. The ship can accelerate and brake (but unlike in Omega Race, momentum is not preserved), steer left or right and is armed with a laser cannon. The goal in each stage is to destroy all enemies. In early stages, they don't fight back while in later ones they return fire and even drop mines. The player can choose from four difficulty levels and there is also a training mode.
