Archon Classic

Archon Classic is a remake of the original Archon game from 1983. The game concept is still the same. On a chess style battle board figures of light and darkness are moved. If a figure of light and a figure of darkness are placed upon the same tile, an action battle screen appears where the player moves his figure and releases his attacks. The victorious figure receives experience points and may gain a new level.

While graphic, sound and AI are very old school style, there are several improvements to the game. During the single battles up to four player can fight together. There are also four different campaigns (two for light and two for darkness), where the player has to fulfil specific objectives. Beside the original look there is also a so called "modern style" available with a different graphical layout.
