Artist Idle

Artist Idle is a free, single-player, mouse controlled, idle clicker game. The game screen starts with a blocky pixelated image in the upper left. As the player watches the game slowly resolves the image into smaller blocks creating more pixels as it does so, this process stops after one pass through the image at which point the image is still just a collection of blocks.

The player can collect pixels at any point during the resolution process or they can wait until the process is complete. Once the image has been resolved as far as currently possible the game stops and waits for the player to collect the pixels before repeating the process.

As the game progresses tools and speed boosts become available, each new class of tool, there are six to unlock, causes the game to make another pass through the image as well as increasing the speed at which it does so. Multiple updates to a tool increases the speed boost it gives.

Once completed a picture can be sold to buy upgrades that make the speed boosts and drawing tools more effective but the tools purchased when creating one picture do not carry forward to the next.
