Bard Trainer
Description
Bard Trainer is a single player, mouse controlled, tavern management game.
Katya, the name can be changed, is a bard in training and her father runs a tavern. Times are hard and daddy borrows money from some bad people and when he cannot pay he runs away leaving Katya on her own. She returns home one night to find Vladimir and his thugs in the tavern looking for her father and cuts a deal - she will generate 1000 gold coins a week to pay off her father's debt. Katya works in the tavern and the game uses the standard battle mechanic to butter up the customers to earn better tips.
Naturally there are hazards such as thugs demanding payment in cash, or in kind, for their protection and so on that disrupt Katya's attempts to make the tavern a viable concern.
Throughout the game care must be taken to monitor Katya's stats because if she faints at work then it is Game Over.
