Battle Hymn: The Battle of Gettysburg
Description
Battle Hymn: The Battle of Gettysburg is a 1-player war game for the TRS-80 CoCo.
The player controls Confederate forces against the Union during the Battle of Gettysburg of the American Civil War. All Confederate and Union units are displayed graphically on the screen. Each unit gets limited movement points per turn, and each unit has individual strength (manpower) and stamina points. The player can review field of fire and direction troops are facing.
Game play occurs on the 2nd day of the 3-day battle, and each turn covers 30 minutes of the battle. Stamina, terrain, and direction troops are facing all have a direct effect on combat results. There are a total of 5 objectives to obtain during the battle to achieve victory.
