Battle of Britain
Description
Battle of Britain simulates the months of August and September of the Battle of Britain aerial combat campaign of World War II. The computer plays the German side and the player the British side. The game lasts 10 turns and the player must inflict enough casualties to deter further attacks. The Germans launch three attacks per turn on a selection of fighter bases, radar/AA stations and/or industrial centers.
The player starts with 100 Industrial factors which they can use to build fighters or more radar/AA. Each week the player earns more industrial factors, based on the number of industrial centers still in operation. The German forces receive 40 new fighters and 125 bombers each turn and will employ tactics simulated based on historical data. If the German bomber force is below 1,000 at the start of the turn, the Germans will give up the campaign and the player has won. The player loses if their number of operational fighters drops below 500. If neither condition is met before the end of the 10 turns, a count of fighters and bombers is done to determine who won.
