Battle of the Sands

Battle of the Sands is a real-time strategy game inspired by the genre classic Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty.

The player commands the forces of a mega-corporation exploiting a desert planet for its fossil fuels, which have run out on Earth. The gameplay consists of traditional RTS fare like basebuilding, resource collection, army construction, and combat. The game's campaign features a variety of missions, from build & destroy to timed defense.

Its most unique feature is the way its graphics are drawn. Rather than being built from tilesets, the game's maps were fully drawn by hand and consist of a single image.
