Being a DIK

Description
The first and original release of Being a DIK was a Patreon release and included full episode 1 with all the future episodes added via patches as DLCs. While on digital distribution online stores such as Steam and later GOG, the game is distributed through seasons where season 1 was a base game and others work as DLCs, the Patreon release included full rerelease with each new episode as well as patches for individual episodes.
Being a DIK is a strong choice driven adult visual novel focusing on a story of a young male protagonist from a poor family who got accepted at Burgmeister & Royce college. Upon arriving there he ends up pledging into Delta Iota Kappa fraternity due to a various array of mishaps that plague his arrival and initial experience as a college student. The game uses pre-rendered CG scenes where player can both be depicted in 3rd or 1st-person perspective, depending on the scene in question. Rather than reusing fixed backgrounds with same character elements with set poses, each scene is on its own and there is no repetition or reusing of any character pasted over background, instead, they are pre-rendered with the entire scene. Video animations are also pre-rendered animations.
The game branching is fairly complex and almost everything has a consequence of some sort, sometimes minor, and sometimes a major one, and sometimes they can't be seen until in some later episode. This being an adult game, sex scenes are abundant and player can build relationship with almost any girl, but some actions permanently tip the scale toward the protagonist preferring a good approach or a bad one. Once that scale is set too much on one side, it cannot be altered and some choice selections will will be grayed out. It also matters a lot how others perceive you and in what relationship you are with someone. Whether they hate you, couldn't care less, don't have opinion, like you as a friend, or really care about you.
There are also great many mini-games which can be turned off or on at the beginning. They vary in type and some are real-time while other give you ample of time to think by not having any time limit. Being at the college, the player will attend classes and have tests. There will also be ways to acquire or earn money which can be used for various things as well. The story doesn't simply unfold in linear path of the player's choice as there are free roam elements where player can move through given set of locations, search for unlockables, and perform both main and optional tasks of various kind.
This Patreon release was decided to be kept until the end of season two because game already grew over 20 GB in size, and starting season three was released as a separate file with following episodes to this game. There is a support to import special save game file at the very end of episode 8. The separate Being a DIK game which continues with season three episodes supports imported save game file from Patreon, GOG, and Steam game releases.
