Borderlands 2: Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty

Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty is the first downloadable content (DLC) for Borderlands 2.

The Vault Hunter has discovered a new area of Pandora named Oasis, a once beautiful ocean front resort which is now a run down, deserted wasteland on the edge of a massive desert. Here the Vault Hunter meets up with the owner of the establishment, a Hunter S. Thompson-like character whose friends are not as lively as they used to be. While helping him out there is a new threat that is discovered...pirates, vicious sand pirates who roam the desert seas, with one of these factions being led by the DLC's namesake, Captain Scarlett.

Eventually the Vault Hunter will meet up and even team with Captain Scarlett and learn of a vast, lost treasure that was once held by a particularly nasty buccaneer by the name of Captain Blade who was once a partner of the less than trustworthy Captain Scarlett. With her help, she and the Vault Hunter embark on another quest for untold riches and gun loot but first must get by new monster by the name of the Leviathan if they wish to enter this vault.

This DLC adds new areas, new enemies, new heads and skins the player can obtain to customize their character, more guns, a new vehicle called a Sand Skiff along with two Raid Bosses that are tougher than regular enemies and bosses in the game, but has the chance to drop better loot and a new currency called Seraph crystals. Players can use these Seraph crystals to buy more rare and epic guns through a trader that will only deal in the precious currency.
