Brown Dust II

Brown Dust II is a free-to-play RPG gacha game. It takes place several years before the first Brown Dust and features some of the same characters. The player first takes control of Lathel, a simple herb-gatherer, who has fallen victim to the schemes of a dark mage. After discovering that his blood has strange magical properties, he joins forces with Justia, a mysterious vampiric knight, and sets out on a world-spanning quest to prevent anyone else from getting hurt by dark sorcery.

Combat is turn-based and takes place on two 3x4 grids, one for the player's party and one for the enemy. Players position five characters on the grid and plan in advance what attacks they will use and in what order they will resolve during the next turn. All attacks have an area of effect pattern and the player can see exactly what attacks the enemy will use in the upcoming turn. Every character has a basic attack that deals damage, a positioning attack that moves the enemy, and at least one skill.

Skills activate short 2D animated cutscenes when used and are available based on what costumes the player owns. Players acquire costumes through the game's gacha system. The more costumes the player owns, the more options their characters have in battle. Costumes are based on a multiverse concept, each costume representing that character in another universe with a vastly different theme and storyline. The main story features voice acting in Korean and Japanese.
