Burning Hot Love

Burning Hot Love is an April Fool's Day spinoff of the Seduce Me series of otome fantasy visual novels. Its download page presents it as a sincere game where the player can date Malix, the first antagonist of the original Seduce Me, but upon opening the game its true nature is revealed as a joke game with a silly, crayon-like art style. However, this game has multiple layers which eventually result in an actual story.

Upon clicking the Start button for the first time, the player clicks through a joke about the series' protagonist Mika Anderson starting a relationship with Malix, after which the game ends appears to end. After clicking the Start button again, the game plays a different joke about the same subject. If the player continues to click Start after having experienced four jokes, the narrator will get annoyed with the player and asks them questions to determine whether they deserve to be given an actual story. If the player answers correctly, they can play an actual story (albeit a short one) which takes place after the canon ending of Seduce Me 2: The Demon War.

In this story, the crude art transitions into a more polished style and the player assumes the role of a prisoner in Hell who is awaiting trial for an unspecified crime. Malix, a fellow prisoner, wakes the protagonist. The protagonist is confused, unable to recall their past, but later experiences dreams and visions offering clues. A woman visits with food which the player can choose to accept or reject. Malix endures whippings, and if the player shows concern, he casually remarks that such punishment is routine in Hell.

The game offers two possible endings. In one, if the player defies the woman, stone guards are summoned to kill them, leading to the "Insubordination" ending. In the second, if the player behaves and waits for trial, they are inevitably found guilty and sent to a place resembling purgatory, resulting in the "Oblivion" ending.
