Card, Crossword and Puzzle Games

Card, Crossword and Puzzle Games is a re-issue of an earlier title from Focus Multimedia. It is a collection of mainly shareware programs many of which were released for Win 3.0 or WIN 3.1. The games are split into eight categories of 'banks' in a style often used by Focus Multimedia games such as 1250+ Games, a title that has many games in common with this product. Some games run from the disc while others need installing.

The eight game banks in this title are: Card Bank 1: There are fifteen games in this group including Canasta For Windows from Mark-Jan Harte, Cardshark Hearts from Nelson Ford, Contract Bridge from Robert Lindsay Wells, Stop the Bus a 1995 project from Oxford student Martin Davidson, and Tresette from Marzano Gianfranco. The odd one out in this section is Marvin's Contract Bridge Bidding Handbook which is a DOS based e-book from Martin L. French* author of several books on bridge and other subjects

• Card Bank 2: There are forty-four games in this group which includes Amazing Poker Squares, Poker Broker, Three Leaves version 2.0 from Sergey Tkachenko, Noisy Video Poker and Blackjack and 31 for Windows

• Solitaire Card Games: Twenty-eight games most of which are single card games but some are compilations such as Excellent Card Games for Windows from Tower Software; Klondike, Black Maria, Baroness, Stonewall and Frustration much like their Amiga game, three games from The Ultimate Solitaire Collection; Klondike, Monte Carlo and Four Seasons, together with versions of Freecell, Spider, and Solitaire Golf

• Puzzle and Strategy Bank 1: Thirty-seven games including 3D Maze, AntiC a DOS game from Cascoly Software, Double Block which is one of the games included in Brain Games For Windows together with variants of Concentration, Tic Tac Toe, and Mastermind

• Puzzle and Strategy Bank 2: Forty games including Jewels of the Oracle, Rings of the Magi the 1996 version, a version of Sokoban, versions of Master Mind, maze games and Moraff's Tinyjongg.

• Puzzle and Strategy Bank 3: A further sixteen games including T4 and Taipei from Dave Norris

• Word Bank 1: Thirty-nine games including Dino Spell, Crossword games, wordsearch games and hangman games

• Word Bank 2: A further fifteen games including Telephone Puzzle 2, five crossword games, wordsearch games and hangman games
