The Card Room

The Card Room is a collection of over one hundred and eighty shareware card games. The games in this product are very loosely grouped by type and range from DOS games, WIN 3.x games to actual Windows games, they are: Bridge Games: There are thirteen games and some of them are bridge games like Bridge From Special K, Bridge Assistant and Contract Bridge the last two of which run in a DOS window. Also in this group are Euchre from Land-J Technologies, two versions of Hearts_, a_ Pinochle* game and the DOS based "Marvin's Bidding Handbook"

• Pontoon: Nine Blackjack games including Real Video Blackjack and Real Video Blackjack 95 both from Ultimate Software , Animated Blackjack, Badlands Blackjack and Blackjack Professor

• Poker: Twenty-nine poker games including video poker and Pai-Gow. Some of the games on offer are Smoke'em Poker, Poker Broker, Noisy Video Poker and Blackjack - both games, Let It Ride for 95

• Solitaire: There are seventy-eight games in this group, most, such as Crispy and Flowerbed v2.2, are implementations of a single game but some, such as the DOS version of Excellent Card Games offers five games while Solitary Confinement offers eight and FunSol has over a hundred.

• Misc: A collection of fifty-three games that includes five cribbage games, two canasta games, three gin rummies a blackjack game and a couple of solitaire games. As with other groups some games such as The Real Deal offer multiple games while others are implementations of a single game

The game browser runs in a small window and shows a preview picture of each game as it is selected. Most of the games can be run from the CD in preview mode but some have to be installed before they can be run.
