Description

Carmen Sandiego: Math Detective is an educational math game for Windows and Macintosh.

Carmen Sandiego has invented the Quantum Chrystalizer Machine and shrunk 12 of the world's famous landmarks into crystals. Agent 9 must travel to the headquarters of Carmen Sandiego's various henchmen to solve math-related mini-games, obtain secret passcodes, and recover the stolen monuments. The player must recover the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Falls, the Great Wall of China, Ayers Rock, the Hubble Space Telescope, Mount Everest, the Caspian Sea, Petronas Towers, the Great Barrier Reef, the Grand Canyon, the Nile River, and the Roman Coliseum.

There are three levels of game difficulty. Mini-games include:

  • Light Spectrometer: The player adds numbered lenses to focus light beams in a Tower of Hanoi puzzle.
  • Microchip Decoder: Draw lines between points, and answer questions about the resulting shape.
  • Molecular Scope: Solve word problems displayed as a crossword puzzle.
