Casual Birder

Casual Birder is a 2D adventure game centred around photographing birds. The player finds themselves in the seaside town of Bird Town, a birdwatcher's paradise that is being terrorized by a group of thugs intent on maintaining their status as the best bird photographers. After an unfortunate run-in with the group on their way to deliver a package, the player is tasked with beating the thugs in the yearly bird photography competition, armed only with their phone's camera and whatever else they can find.

The player controls the game using the D-Pad to move around, the B button to look at their photos, and the A button to use items, interact with the environment, and talk to the towns various residence. The crank is used to cycle through the items in the player's inventory while they are walking around. When the player uses the camera, it appears over the screen showing what it's currently pointed at, and the player can move it around and use the crank to adjust the camera's focus.
