Catacomb

Catacomb is a 1-player arcade game for the TRS-80 CoCo.

Gameplay is divided into two stages, a catacomb stage and a space flight stage. In the catacomb stage, the player moves through a series of very tight caverns trying to pick up fuel blocks. The total fuel is displayed at the right of the screen. The player must avoid the enemies that move in the hallways. Once the player thinks they have gathered enough fuel, they choose to enter a spaceflight stage, where they can move horizontally, and partially forwards on the screen. During this stage, the player can fire forwards to destroy or avoid enemies. Small amounts of fuel can additionally be picked up in space. The goal is to collect enough fuel in the catacombs to fly far enough in the spaceflight stage to return to the mothership.
