Chaos Heat

Chaos Heat is an overhead run 'n gun shooter released for the arcades.

A biolab in Tokyo has succumbed to a parasitic outbreak, mutating everything inside Now it's up to the D.E.F . agent to clean up this mess. The three D.E.f. agents tasked with the heavy grunt work are Rick who is armed with a laser bazooka, Mituki, who is armed with dual machine guns, and Vogt who is armed with a blaster and also carries knives. Each of their weapons have a faster normal shot but can also fire a slower charged up shot for a more devastating attack, Players can also find sub cartridges items like napalm and gas grenades to use. on. There are also items the agents can pick up to help themselves such as life packs and guard vests.

Choosing one of the characters, players clear areas of the lab and collect cards to progress to the next area of the level. A boss awaits at the end of each level.

The gameplay also has players deactivate security systems, cut the power and open new passages in a level by shooting specific objects or protecting the squad while they assist the player with opening locks. Players can fail some of these events and the game will continue.

The game features a good and bad ending with the good ending shown when players kill 90% or more of the spawned parasite cores from the enemies in their playthrough.
