Chickaroo

Chickaroo is a 1-player arcade word game for the BBC Micro.

The player attempts to solve the missing letter in a word by shooting eggs. Each level starts with the Chickaroo laying six eggs on the screen. The word and the missing letter are displayed at the top of the screen. The player controls a character at the bottom of the screen that moves laterally and shoots vertically. When the player hits an egg, a letter appears. The player selects a letter and, if it is the correct letter to finish the word, the player solves the puzzle and gains five points for undestroyed eggs. A wrong answer leads to zero points and a loss of turn.
