Chip
Description
Chip is an isometric puzzle game where you need to free a robot that has been kidnapped. His battery is almost empty and to complete levels you need to guide a bolt of energy towards him. The game takes place in a small environment with tiles. The robot cannot be controlled directly. Instead, the player controls the cannon and various items in the environment that alter the fired bolt's trajectory. Each level introduces new mechanics, such as the ability to rotate a cannon, mirrors that can be moved and rotated, other cannons that can be activated, batteries that absorb bolts, magnets that attract batteries, jumpers that propel bolts over to a next tile, rotators that rotate all objects in a level, and more. Another game element is the ability to slow down time. When an object is manipulated the bolt moves at a much slower rate, allowing the player to quickly adjust or move objects.
A level is completed when the robot comes alive, but there are two additional win conditions based on the amount of moves and the time limit. For each of the three win conditions a bulb can be earned and a certain amount of bulbs is required to keep progressing. There are four level packs with twenty levels each and five bonus levels for each. The score is converted into coins that can be spent in an in-game shop to buy new characters and to customize them.
