Chitei Tanken

Chitei Tanken is currently known to possibly be the first Japanese RPG ever produced. It is a mainly text based game, in which you can create a party of up to 6 adventurers, defeat monsters, collect gold, and buy medicine or food to support your party's survival while you travel through a multi-floor dungeon filled with towns and many different terrain. You can select a difficulty to determine how deep it is, the damage from enemies, or how fast your stamina decreases. There is also a time-passage system and the game is turn based. There is no equipment, experience gains, or stat increases from what your characters start with. Once you reach the bottom floor and open the chest the game is won, but no score is given.
