Description
Dai Hōshin Den is a Japanese-style RPG loosely based on the famous 16th-century Chinese novel Fengshen Yanyi (Investiture of the Gods), with the player controlling Taigong Wang on a divine mission to defeat the treacherous King Zhou and restore peace to the human world. It is a turn-based story-driven game in the mold of contemporary Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy games, with fixed character experience growth and party makeup as the story progresses; one notable feature is the "semi auto-battle" system, where the player can choose to issue commands directly to party members or to allow the game to decide which actions to take.
